Your pop girlie is back and ready to tackle another pop album. But before I start this week, I wanted to say... finally. I’m finally in a space where I’m mostly caught up on my backlog of albums I’ve been wanting to get around to. Now, I’m at a place where I can more broadly start taking suggestions from the community on what album I should look at next.

For this week, however, I’m looking at an album that came up on my Tidal suggested new albums. Usually, that list consists of albums from artists in my favorite artists list or artists that have appeared in my library.

That’s not the case today, this one is completely new to me. I’ve never heard of the artist before so y’all should be in for a treat. Let me know if you know of her or hell, if she’s your favorite artist!

So without further ado, here’s my first reaction and full review of yeule’s Evangelic Girl is a Gun.

Tequila Coma

I love the distorted drum kit. I’m not certain, but it does sound like a bit crusher was used. The bass is pretty cool, too. Practically sitting in the upper bass range, with no mid- or sub-bass frequencies. The bass is effectively invisible to the listener.

As I mentioned above, this is my first time listening to her music and I have to say, those layered vocals for the first verse are excellent.
