I’ve heard exactly one track from Daisy the Great, ever, and that track is The Record Player Song. So when I saw that the band was releasing a new album soon, it piqued my interest.

To say I’m a fan of hers would be an overstatement. While I’ve heard the one track before, it’s not a song I play frequently. But it’s a great song, in my humble opinion.

With that said, I’m very excited to give this album a listen. I have no idea what to expect, which means it should be a blast. So without further ado, here’s my first reaction and full review of Daisy the Great’s The Rubber Teeth Talk.

Like I mentioned in the intro, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I’m loving the soft-rock/folk/pop vibe already. I’m digging the muted tonality of the track. The pre-chorus/chorus harmonies are excellent. The vocal mix overall is fantastic.

I’m still being surprised. I was not expecting a guitar solo after that first chorus.
